David Benedict (1779–1874)
Benedict, David. A Baptist divine and historian; born at Norwalk, CT, 1779; died in 1874. He was pastor at Pawtucket, RI, for twenty-five years, and preached till over ninety years of age. Among his chief works were: ‘History of All Religions’; ‘Fifty Years among the Baptists’; ‘History of the Donatists’; etc.
