Heinrich Gottlieb Tzschirner (1778–1828)

Tzschirner, Heinrich Gottlieb (chēr’ner). A German theological writer; born at Wittweida in Saxony, Nov. 14, 1778; died in Feb. 1828, at Leipsic, where he was professor of theology. He wrote: ‘Protestantism and Catholicism from the Standpoint of Politics’ (4th ed. 1824); ‘The Fall of Gentilism’ (1829); and a continuation of Schröckh’s ‘Church History.’
