Walch, Johann Georg (välċh). A German theological writer; born at Meiningen, June 17, 1693; died on Jan. 13, 1775. Among his works are: ‘Patristic Library’ (1770); ‘Philosophical Lexicon’ (2 vols., 1726); ‘Introduction to the Theological Sciences’ (1747); an edition of the ‘Works of Luther’ (24 vols., 1740–51).
