James Harrison Wilson (1837–1925)

Wilson, James Harrison. An American author, and soldier of distinction; born at Shawneetown, IL, Sept. 2, 1837; died in 1925. He is the author of ‘China: Travels and Investigations in the Middle Kingdom’ (1887). ‘Life of Andrew J. Alexander’ (1887); and, in conjunction with C. A. Dana, ‘Life of General U. S. Grant’ (1868); ‘Under the Old Flag’ (1912).
