John Mackay Wilson (1804–1835)

Wilson, John Mackay. A Scottish story-writer; born at Tweedmouth, 1804; died at Berwick-on-Tweed, Oct. 2, 1835. He edited for several years the Berwick Advertiser. He was the editor and principal author of ‘Tales of the Borders’ (1835–40; last ed. enlarged and revised, 24 vols., 1869).
