Woods, Verna. An American educator and author; born in Ohio, in 1864; died at Sacramento, CA, March 5, 1903. Besides contributions to leading magazines and periodicals she wrote: ‘A Modern Magdalen,’ ‘The Amazon,’ ‘An Elusive Lover,’ ‘Jason Hildreth’s Identity.’
