Jean Albert Ymbert (1786–1846)

Ymbert, Jean Albert (a-bãr’). A French writer of comedy; born about 1786; died in 1846. He wrote: ‘A Husband Unknown to Himself’; ‘The Art of Getting Office’ (1817); ‘A Bachelor’s Dinner’ (1820); ‘The Automaton Man’ (1820); ‘The Obliging Man’ (1820); ‘The Propertyless Proprietor’ (1820); ‘The Neutral City; or, The Burgomaster of Neustadt’ (1825).
