Bjerregaard, Henrik Anker (byer’e-gärd). A Norwegian dramatic poet; born at Ringsaker, 1792; died in 1842. His position in his country’s literature is very influential, the plays ‘Magnus Barefoot’s Sons’ and ‘A Mountain Adventure’ being national models. A volume of ‘Poems’ (1829) also displays genius.
