John Henry Boner (1845–1903)

Boner, John Henry. An American poet and literary worker; born at Salem, NC, Jan. 31, 1845; died in 1903. A contributor to the magazines, he was on the editorial staff of the ‘Century Dictionary’ and the ‘Standard Dictionary,’ and was once literary editor of the New York World. He wrote ‘Whispering, Pines’ (1883), a volume of verse.
