Brooks, Elbridge Streeter. Born in Lowell, MA, April 14, 1846; died at Somerville, MA, Jan. 7, 1902. He wrote many juvenile books: ‘Historic Boys’ (1885); ‘Chivalric Days’ (1886); ‘The Story of the American Indian’ (1887); ‘The Story of New York’ (1888).
