Philippe Benjamin Joseph Buchez (1796–1865)
Buchez, Philippe Benjamin Joseph (bü-shā’). A French annalist and physician; born in Mortagne, Ardennes, March 31, 1796; died at Rhodez, Aveyron, Aug. 12, 1865. With Roux-Lavergne he projected the ‘Parliamentary History of the French Revolution’ (40 vols. 1833–38), a work of inestimable utility.
