WHEN comes again the sun

After the shortened days and full of pain,

Thine eyes serene and bright I see again,

Thy words in memory run.

Of thee, sweet Vanishing,

Recalled but in the vision of love’s dream,

The earth in flower to speak to me doth seem,

And every voice of Spring.

Like to some happy one,

The grieving of lost years grows less to me,

The while, O blessed Dream, I live in thee

When comes again the sun!
