Augustin-Louis de Ximénez (1728–1817)
Ximénez, Augustin-Louis de (zē-mā-nes’). A French poet of Spanish descent born at Paris, 1728; died in 1817. Among his writings are several tragedies, notably one called ‘Don Carlos’; also a poem, ‘Cæsar in the Senate,’ and critical essays of value.
