Charles Marie Photius Maurras (1868–1952)

Maurras, Charles Marie Photius (mō-rä’). A French journalist and critic; born at Martigues, in 1868; died in 1952. He is the author of ‘Jean Moreas’ (1891); ‘The Lovers of Venice: George Sand and Musset’ (1902); ‘Jules Lemaître and his Friend’ (1905); besides a number of works on political questions.
