Franklin Benjamin Sanborn (1831–1917)

Sanborn, Franklin Benjamin. An American journalist; born at Hampton Falls, NH, Dec. 15, 1831; died at Westfield, NJ, Feb. 24, 1917. He was one of the last links with the Concord group of writers. He published, ‘Life of Thoreau’ (1872); ‘Emerson’ (1895); ‘Recollections of Seventy Years’ (1909); ‘Final Life of Thoreau’ (1914).
