Joseph Cook (1838–1901)
Cook, Flavius Josephus. A noted American lecturer on religious and social topics; born at Ticonderoga, NY, Jan. 26, 1838; died there, June 25, 1901. His published works include: ‘Boston Monday Lectures’ (10 vols., 1877); ‘Current Religious Perils, with Other Addresses.’ In 1888 he founded Our Day, a monthly reform magazine.
