Wilmer, Lambert A. An American editor and author; born about 1805; died in Brooklyn, NY, Dec. 21, 1863. He was editor of several newspapers, and author of: ‘A New System of Grammar’ (1851); ‘The Quacks of Helicon’ (1851); ‘The Life of De Soto’ (1858); ‘Our Press Gang; or, An Exposition of the Corruptions of American Newspapers’ (1859).
