Sir Wilfred Thomason Grenfell (1865–1940)

Grenfell, Wilfred Thomason. An English medical missionary and writer; born near Chester, England, 1865; died in 1940; As superintendent of the Labrador branch Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen, he has done a wonderful work among the people of the far North and has established hospitals and brought medical assistance to those who have never before been reached. Author of ‘Vikings of To-day’ (1896); ‘Harvest of the Sea’; ‘Off the Rocks’ (1906); ‘A Man’s Faith’ (1908); ‘Experiences on a Pan of Ice’ (1908); ‘Labrador’ (1909).
