This report is an analysis of a case study “Social Strategy at Cisco Systems” written by Mikolaj J. Piskorski, Daniel Malter, and Aaron Smith. It emphasis on a main concern, which is aligned with Cisco Learning Network and Internet of Everything (IoE) and is presented in a question; how can Cisco’s phenomenon of “Internet of Everything” be attained through Cisco Learning Network? The issue highlights the importance of Cisco’s strategic commitment of advancing and supporting the Internet of everything. Since it was critical to Cisco’s strategic commitment of advancing, the company had to pick the best option to implement quickly. The two alternatives were know as: create knowledge and expand the community. With key decision criteria , this report carefully examines both of the options that can quickly be implemented and yet help Cisco integrate into IoE era. While working at Stanford University, the couple faced communication difficultly with their computers working under two different networks. To eliminate this problem, Lerner, and Bosack, adopted to technology to create network routers enabling their computers to connect to the same network. Soon after, the couple launched their product (network routers) to the market, selling to universities and large corporations. As the company grew and the demand for

I would recommend the distribution of VoIP products through both voice and data VARs. Even though voice channel was considerably more consolidated than the data channel however it is agreed that voice needed to be added to the mix of already existing data VARs. In the data market, margins for the resellers where in the region 12%to 20% due to the channel competition.
The Cisco Open Network Environment (ONE) is a programmable framework that allows users to customize and hone the value of a more intelligent network and is key component of Cisco software-defined networking (SDN) strategies. The Cisco vision for ONE is being folded into Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)strategy. Cisco ONE was a keystone advance in Cisco’s SDN model, and is made up of three components as part of a multi-faceted approach:

This Australian organization also deployed the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), VMware, and NetApp to scale Infrastructure in their data center. [10] In addition to this, Cisco Nexus 1000v series switch was added to provide visibility of virtual machines at the virtual access layer. This helped to improve the virtualization intelligence of the network. This platform helped to improve scalability, which was the primary necessity of the organization. [10]
Should we focus on products that businesses buy? After all, that’s who we sell to now. Or, should we take our expertise in routers and switches and focus on consumer products? Finally, while Cisco is growing 15 percent per year, that’s down significantly from the 40 percent growth that we’ve had since inception, save for 2001. So we need to identify high-growth markets and products that we could design and build.

On December 6, 1967, the Department of Defense awarded a contract with the purpose of the “design and specification of a computer network”. Four months later, the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPANET) was created. By October 15, 1969, computers at the University of California-Los Angeles and Stanford were connected and communicating (Internet History from ARAPNET to Broadband, 2007) . Thus was the birth of the internet. Now, the internet is an indispensable tool that provides us with an active connection to everyone and nearly everything. However, we’ve evolved the internet and moved forward to the “internet of things” (IoT). The IoT is connecting man to machine, machine to machine, and machine to man all through “smart” devices,
