  • This menu provides quick and easy access to all the programs, apps, and so on.
  • It is available at the bottom-left corner of the desktop screen on the taskbar and can be accessed by clicking on this option.
  • The position of the start menu can be changed by changing the taskbar.
  • All the applications or programs in the Start menu are positioned in a rectangular-shaped box which is called tiles.
  • These tiles contain the app name and icon which can be customized whenever required.

Explanation of Solution

Explanation:

The different ways that can be used to customize the Start option are given below:

  1. By using Pin option: The various programs or applications can be pinned to the Start menu in the form of tiles. A user has to just right-click on the application that he wants to pin on the Start menu and then, choose the option Pin to Start Menu; the application gets pinned.
  2. By creating a new group for the tiles: Another option with which the start menu can be customized is by creating different groups for different applications. To make a new group, one has to drag the first tile to the top or bottom of an existing tile group. After that, an empty bar gets displayed that indicates the location of the new group.
  3. Resizing a tile on the start menu: The tiles on the Start menu can also be resized in the different available size options such as small, medium, wide or large. This can be done by right-clicking on the tile and choosing the Resize option. Then, choose the desired size for the tile.
  4. Unpinning an application: The tiles can also be unpinned from the Start menu by right-clicking on the tile that is to be unpinned and choosing the option Unpin.
  5. Renaming a group of tiles: Renaming the group of tiles can also be done. For this, first of all, point at the top of the tiles that is to be renamed. Click on the display box and enter the new group name. If any name already exists, then, that can be deleted and a new name can be entered in the same.

Conclusion:

Hence, the above-mentioned ways can be used for customizing the Start Button.
