To define: Consumer behavior
Introduction: Consumer behavior is the involvement and engagement of consumers when they make a purchase or shop for something by comparing different brands and products available in the market.
Consumer behavior can be defined as the understanding and analysis of consumers’ (individuals, groups, organizations) needs, characteristics, and interactions in a particular marketing environment through consumers’ intentional purchasing and accidental purchasing. It occurs when an exchange of products, dealings of goods and services, disposal, or consumption of products takes place by paying a valuable price. It can also be psychological activities and exercises of customers through which they identify their needs and make a buying decision to fulfill those needs by evaluating the market. A marketer analyzes the personal, psychological, and social characteristics of consumers to understand consumer behavior.
