We express our gratitude for selecting SNHU Auditing Partners, CPA, as your trusted partner for
financial statements and internal controls over financial reporting. This correspondence outlines
the extent and conditions of the agreement we have previously deliberated. After carefully
examining your case, we have reached a consensus to act as your representative for this
engagement. Our team of experts will be dedicated to your case, and I will personally oversee the
progress of our collaboration.
Our commitment to you as our client is to conduct our audit with professional judgment and in
accordance with GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards). This entails planning and
executing an audit with reasonable assurance that the financial statements are accurate and free
from fraud or error. However, there is a potential risk that misstatements may go unnoticed due
to weaknesses in internal controls. If there are deficiencies in the internal control over financial
reporting or if they are inconsequential in the financial statements, the integrated audit may not
be able to detect the error or fraud. If the auditor is unable to form an opinion or complete the
audit for any reason, an expression of opinion or report will be declined. Once the audit is
finalized, information will be communicated to the board of directors, the audit committee, and
management. The audit committee will receive written notification of all material weaknesses in
internal control over financial reporting and any other deficiencies identified during the audit.
They will also be informed when management is notified of these deficiencies. Management will
also receive written notification of all material weaknesses in internal controls over financial
reporting, as well as any other deficiencies and internal controls that were not previously
communicated in writing. The board of directors will receive written notification of the audit
committee's conclusion on Colony Bankcorp, Inc.'s external financial reporting and the
effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting.
Your obligations to us encompass a range of tasks, one of which is managing the financial
statements and disclosures for Colony Bankcorp, Inc. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in
establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the effectiveness of financial reporting. It
is essential that you comply with all laws and regulations applicable to our activities. You will
need to provide the auditor with all necessary financial information and confirm the
representations made during the audit through a formal letter. Additionally, you will be
responsible for rectifying any significant misstatements in the financial statements and assuring
the auditor that any uncorrected misstatements are not material to the overall financial
statements.
The anticipated start date of the engagement is January 2, 2024, with an estimated completion
date of February 28, 2024
We previously discussed and agreed upon the rates for our staff are as follows:
• Partner – $400/hour
• Manager – $300/hour
• Senior Auditor – $200/hour
• Staff Auditor – $150/hour
