Ad libitum sampling
On the Ad Libitum sampling sheet record your chosen primate species from the video provided. Collecting data on the species keeping a running a detailed running list of all the behaviors performed by the animals include references to the time. You need a minimum of 10 items in your list. Focal Animal Sampling
On the Focal Animal sampling sheet record the data of a chosen primate from the video provided. You will collect data at 2-minute intervals. This is your time-interval. You will record the behavior at ever 2-minute interval that the animal is portraying. It is best to set the timer to beep at every 2 minutes. For example, at 2.00 the animal is walking quadrupedally on a branch. Remember you are just recording the behavior of the animal at the time-interval. You must have a minimum of 10 items. Scan Sampling
On the Scan Sampling sheet record the data of the primates in the video provided. Spend 20 minutes collecting data on the species. You will collect data at 2-minute intervals. This is the time-interval. You will record the behaviors of all the primates at the 2-minute interval. It is best to set the timer to beep at every 2 minutes. For example, at 2.00 there are 3 primates eating, 2 grooming and 3 walking. You can make tally marks in the columns to represent how many of the group were participating in each activity.
