Ailani Hernandez Hear me, noble comrades of the battlefield, as we stand on this cursed soil where the clash of arms and the agony of loss have become our bitter companions. We, sons of Greece, have been entangled in the interminable war against Troy, and it is time for us to reflect on the futility and glory of our endeavors. Are we not but pawns in the grandeur of gods’ chessboard, manipulated by their whims, our lives mere playthings in their hands? The blood that stains this earth, the tears of our fallen brothers and sons, do they serve to our greater purpose, or are they merely offerings to appease the divine? We have witnessed the horrors of this war, the endless cycle of death and destruction, and one must question whether the glory we seek is worth the price we pay. Is it not madness, the sacrifice of countless lives, the destruction of a great city, all for the vanity of men and carelessness of the gods? Do we not owe it to ourselves and future generations to ponder the wisdom of our actions? Weighed against the immense toll of this war, what glory do we truly gain, and for whom does it shine? Our swords, our shields, our spears—these are but tools, and tools wielded by men, not gods. What if, instead of persisting in this perpetual bloodshed, we seek a path of reconciliation and peace? What if we, as men of honor and valor, decide to end this war, to put aside our pride and find a more noble way to resolve our grievances? My noble comrades, as we stand here amidst the horrors of war, we must acknowledge the opposing viewpoint. While we reflect on the futility and the price we pay, we must also argue the glory of our deeds may outweigh the cost. There are those who believe that in the crucible of battle, we forge ourselves into stronger, braver men. They claim that this war, as devastating as it may be, is the crucible through which our valor shines brightest, and our legacy will be defined by the unwavering courage we exhibit on this battlefield. Is there not merit in the notion that our sacrifices, the blood and sweat we shed, are a testament to our undying spirit and the pursuit of honor? While the cost is steep, some would argue that the glory we earn here is worth the price. Let us remember the words of the great Hector, a Trojan noble who, through our adversary, was a man of honor and valor. He too questioned the futility of this conflict, the senseless loss of life. We cannot deny that he was a worthy foe, a man who understood the cost of war. Do we not owe it to ourselves to honor such wisdom and end this relentless cycle of violence?
Ailani Hernandez I beseech you, my comrades, let us not be mere instruments of destruction. Let us be architects of peace and harmony. Let us be remembered not for the battles we fought, but for the wisdom and courage we displayed in seeking a better way. The Trojan War has raged for too long, and we must be the ones to bring it to a close. The glory of war, the honor of battle—these are but fleeting moments. What endures in the legacy we leave behind, the lessons we impart to those who come after us. Let our legacy be one of peace, of wisdom, of men who knew when to lay down their swords and seek a better path. Our glory is not in our prowess on the battlefield but in our humanity, in our ability to end this senseless war and bring about a brighter future for all.
