Role of the Educator
The children need us. By us I mean educators. Educators are seen as someone who
teaches children day in and day out on how to read, write, add and subtract. The role of an
educator is much more than that. Yes, our duty as an educator is to ensure that the students that
enter the classrooms are taught a proper education so that they can be productive members of
society after High School. But, our duty goes beyond just that. As an educator we are role models
for the students that walk down the hallways. We as educators have our professional dispositions
that we not only abide by but live by in order to ensure that each student is getting the best
education that they are deserved (GCU, 2014). The purpose of this essay is to shed light on the
role of the educator and their importance.
