Summary
A detailed risk assessment was completed based on the client’s experience with pediatric premature ventricular contractions (PVC), which the client appeared to have substantial knowledge and an understanding of the diagnosis. The assessment aims to gain an understanding of the circumstances faced daily, the safety measures, coping mechanisms, and current symptoms or concerns. The initial assessment gathered necessary background information, encounters with trauma, and current barriers. After beginning the assessment, informed consent was discussed in detail, along with the importance of participation and she was informed of her right to decline to answer any questions at any time throughout the interview. We discussed her rights as a client to report any concerns, issues or feeling she is receiving less than anticipated care to the American Counseling Association. We then proceeded to discuss safety, where she proceeded to inform me that she dd
feel safe in her home with all her basic needs are met daily as she is raising her daughter in a loving, nurturing environment. The client also reports she has, and has never had, any thoughts 3
