I had an amazing time at this concert. It is very interesting to try to analyze and break down songs like the ones I heard that night, but it only helped me to appreciate them even more. The song for this paragraph is called “Too Good To Not Believe” by
Brandon Lake. This song is musically beautiful while at the same time has an amazing
meaning behind the words. It affected me emotionally because of those facts. The texture of this song is homophonic, with one of the three singers leading and playing guitar with the accompaniment of a piano. The main melody was sung by the lead artist, while the two other artists took a break. It is in song form, AABA. It starts out with an instrumental and the dynamics are mezzo piano. Then as the singer goes into the chorus, he crescendos into mezzo forte. This song is in quadruple meter and the rhythm is mostly in moderato. The second song is called “Graves Into Gardens” by Brandon Lake. This song is similar to the first song because it was written by the same artist. It also had a very emotional impact on me because of the words and the way it was sung. This song is also in homophonic texture. The lead singer is again singing while playing a guitar accompanied by a piano. But unlike the song above, there are harmonies sung by the other artists on stage supporting the melody. And this song is also in AABA song
