As we began our study of this week's material, you were asked to ponder and come up with two questions, thoughts or ideas that were of interest to you or could further guide your study this week. You were also asked to spend 1 hour studying something additional of your choosing. Share here (in 75-150 words) at least one of those questions, thoughts or ideas that you selected and provide any further insights or questions you gained from focusing on it throughout the week’s study, especially as you sought to share it with others in your Discussion Board participation and/or Teach a Friend assignment. Rubric: 1 point will be awarded for sharing the question, thought or insight. 3 points will be awarded for sharing the further insights gained on that topic as a result of your focus throughout the week. 1 point will be awarded for sharing the Title and/or link of the talk, speech, podcast, book, etc. that you studied. (NOTE: If you are not satisfied with the results of your focus and would like to have additional help in answering your question, please use ALL CAPS as you write and your teacher will reply). My first question is How does understanding the Atonement help you in different aspects of your life? - There is always something new and incredible that I discover when it comes to the acts of Jesus Christ in order to atone for our sins. I am grateful that I am able to get out of bed in the morning and make an effort to improve myself because of it. I am aware that I will never be flawless, but if I continue to work toward my objective and repent of my mistakes, I will eventually succeed. My second question is what kind of emotions do you feel when you learn about the sacrifice Jesus made for us? - I feel so blessed to have a person who can sacrifice His life for me. I feel so happy to know that in a world full of hate and judgment, there is that one person that I ca n always turn to and He will never judge or push me away.
As you ponder your discipleship project goals you set in week 3, please answer TWO of the following questions (in 75-150 words) as you think about your progress during the last week: 1. During the last week, what are you doing well at in keeping to your plan for improvement in the area you have chosen? 2. In the last week, what struggles or difficulties have you experienced in striving to achieve your goal? 3. In what ways have you noticed growth and progression in your discipleship? 4. How have you felt divine help and assistance from your Heavenly Father, Savior, and the Holy Ghost during this last week? 5. In what ways did our study topic for this week apply to your discipleship project and help your personal growth? 6. What tools and tips are helping you to be successful? Include scriptures, teachings of living prophets, and specific efforts you have made to bring about the change or improvement you desire. 7. This week, how did your discipleship project goals bless your relationships with others? 8. What specific things do you want to improve or change for the duration of this project? - How have you felt divine help and assistance from your Heavenly Father, Savior, and the Holy Ghost during this last week? - I have experienced divine guidance and help from my Heavenly Father, Savior, and the Holy Ghost in a variety of ways over the past week. My discipleship project has given me inspiration and clarity, thanks to prayer and seeking guidance. I now have a feeling of purpose and direction from this, which helps me make decisions and take actions that are in line with the goals I have set. I have sensed a reassuring presence that has reassured me of my love and support system when I've been struggling or doubting myself. Another way that the Holy Ghost has helped me grow and advance is by inspiring me to connect with particular people or take part in particular activities. - In what ways did our study topic for this week apply to your discipleship project and help your personal growth? - Reading about the Savior's sacrifice and what He did for us this week has helped me feel so happy to know that the Savior has gone through everything which means He knows the pain that I am going through and He is willing to strengthen me and comfort me in times of hardship.
