metabolis m, why was O 2 used in the last module and CO 2 is being used in this one? CO2 was used in this module to show the process of cellular respiration oxygen is a reactant in cellular respiration to produce CO2 while in photosynt hesis plants take in CO2 to produce oxygen. 5.
