Introduction The world that we live in today is unlike any times that we have faced. Loyalty in the workplace and seniority is long gone to most, there are few that do show their true appreciation though. By there always being an open line of communication, clear guidelines to what your responsibilities and roles are in your job position, and when and where to turn if you have questions. By the managers getting to know each person, they can figure out what drives them and what talents they are good at and where they are the most productive, really makes a huge difference. When there is a sense of security and enjoyment in the workplace, there will in return be loyalty. More productivity creates more income for the company, and all around everyone wins.
Explain how an organization can help develop and build teams to make them productive as a unit?
When talking about how an organization can help to develop and build teams that are productive, you must know your employees, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and where they best fit with the talents that they hold. Clarify roles and responsibilities, by ensuring that each team member has a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities within the team. By having open and regular communication, as well as by providing job descriptions that leave no questions unanswered. Have clear goals and objectives, this is where (SMART) goals come into play, specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals for the team to work towards. This will encourage the team members to come together to set goals so the objectives may be met. When an organization has clear lines of communication between team members and is open and honest about their communication, then everyone knows where everyone stands
moving forward. Regular meetings, both formal and informal, can help to maintain good communication and a sense of teamwork. Promote a culture of collaboration and cooperation by rewarding teamwork and recognizing individual contributions. Provide training and development opportunities, provide team members with opportunities to learn and develop new skills. This can include training sessions, job shadowing, mentoring, and coaching. Celebrate successes and learn from failures, celebrate team successes, and acknowledge the contributions of each team member. Additionally, use failures as opportunities for learning and growth, and encourage the team to work together to overcome obstacles and challenges. By keeping the work environment positive you can then start to earn and see that values, respect, trust, and inclusivity can be seen. Describe an approach to employee satisfaction from the Korean Air Enhancing Employee Satisfaction article.
By enhancing employee satisfaction, it makes the employees feel more like they can be who they are, and shows their loyalty, which is a rare commodity in today’s world. Letting some
enjoy the free attire system allows the employees to wear the clothes of their preferences, including shorts, and jeans, except customer service and cabin crew. This seems to create a friendlier and more casual workplace environment. When the proper items of how a successful organization fulfills employees’ satisfaction there are clear roles and expectations, knowledge of the company’s vision and goals, meaningful work that relates to the goals and vision, employees being accepted for who they are, recognition for employee’s contribution, employees being treated fairly or equitably, a safe environment with growth opportunities, and open and regular

High performance team:
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, at my work for a school district, we knew we needed to build teams to handle the situation. Different teams were created for different departments. Once the teams had come up with solutions on how to maintain social distancing and how to lesson the chances of getting the virus, that information was brought to the high performance team. The high performance team was made up of the leaders from each department team. They would meet and discuss the resolutions to accommodating students with meals, learning, transportation, and the continued maintenance on all school sites.
Once the teams have brainstormed, their suggestions and solutions were brought to the head of the HR department. The head of the HR department selected the team members she wanted on the high performance team. She chose them based on problem-solving abilities, availability, technological expertise, credibility, political connections, ambition, initiative,…

Consider for a moment a midlevel manager at a multinational foods company, Fatima, who would seem to be at the top of her career. She’s consistently making her required benchmarks and goals, she has built successful relationships with colleagues, and senior management have identified her as “high potential.” But she isn’t happy with her work. She’d be much more interested in understanding how her organization can use social media in marketing efforts. Ideally, she’d like to quit and find something that better suits her passions, but in the current economic environment this may not be an option. So she has decided to proactively reconfigure her current job.
Fatima is part of a movement toward job “crafting,” which is the process of deliberately reorganizing your job so that it better fits your motives, strengths, and passions. The core of job crafting is creating diagrams of day-to-day activities with a coach. Then you and the coach collaboratively identify which tasks fit with your…

Effective management is not only about overseeing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met but also about fostering a positive work environment. A manager's role extends beyond the technical aspects of a project; it involves understanding the strengths and weaknesses of team members, providing constructive feedback, and promoting a collaborative culture. A manager who values the well-being and professional development of their team members can significantly enhance employee morale and satisfaction. This, in turn, can lead to increased productivity and a more cohesive and resilient team that is better equipped to tackle challenges. In essence, the human aspect of management is as critical as the technical and strategic elements.
Question: How can a manager balance the technical aspects of project management with the need to create a positive and collaborative work environment for team members?
arrow_forward
Effective management is crucial for the success of any organization, as it involves coordinating and overseeing the activities of individuals to achieve organizational goals. A skilled manager must possess a diverse set of abilities, including leadership, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills. In addition to these interpersonal skills, effective management also requires a deep understanding of the industry, company policies, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Managers play a pivotal role in creating a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, and ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently. By setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and addressing conflicts, managers contribute significantly to the overall productivity and success of the organization.
