Public Service Announcement (PSA)-Television
I chose to share the “Belonging Begins with Us” Campaign and the Team Up Project Partner on New PSA to Unite Communities Across America. Sender- the person or source of the information to be communicated.
-The sender of this PSA would be the Ad Council American Immigration Council Campaign and the Team Up project. Encoding- the way the information is packaged for transmission.
-The encoding for this PSA is audiences on a landing page on the “Belonging with Us” website. Message: the package of information to be communicated
-The message of this PSA is stories of belonging from people and quizzes for people to find their
sense of belonging and actions for people to engage in their community and find belonging. Channel- the medium used to transmit the encoded message. -The medium used to transmit, or channel used for this PSA would be a website and TV stations. Decoding-: the way the message is unpackaged following transmission.
-The decoding of the message would be the guided quiz that brings users to find their belonging in their communities. Receiver- the person or target audience of the information communicated.
-The receivers of this PSA would be communities of people across America. Noise- any of a variety of types of interference at any point during the process
-The noise of the PSA would be poor internet connection or static on the TV stations. 1.
What impact did the message have on you as the receiver?
The message influenced me to see how I can find a sense of belonging in my life with people around me.
2.
What noise do you think affects the message to you? How?
The noise that could affect the message is people being shy and scared to get out of their comfort
zones. 3.
Do you feel the message is decoded the same as it was encoded? Why?
Yes, because the message is an article that includes information about how to find purpose and belonging, so it is decoded and encoded in the same way.
Public Service Announcement (PSA)-Radio
The Public Service Announcement on the radio that I chose to share is “More Than One in Three
Americans are at Increased Risk for Type 2 Diabetes, but Changing the Outcome is Possible” from the Ad Council. Sender- the person or source of the information to be communicated.
-The sender of the PSA is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ad Council. Encoding- the way the information is packaged for transmission.
-The encoding of the PSA is in English and Spanish languages through the public service announcement transportation. Message: the package of information to be communicated
-The message of the PSA is an initiative that increases awareness and healthy lifestyle changes to
help people see if they have a risk for pre-diabetes.
Channel- the medium used to transmit the encoded message. -The channel used to transmit the encoded message is broadcast, print, radio, out-of-home, digital banners, and social media in English and Spanish. Decoding-: the way the message is unpackaged following transmission.
-The decoding of the message is engaging messages that influence and motivate people to learn more about preventing diabetes. Receiver- the person or target audience of the information communicated.

The fourth research question sought to find out if the company encountered any challenges with the implementation of its digital advertising strategies. From the survey, the results did not prove if the company encountered any challenges with the implementation of its digital advertising strategies. However, there were communication barriers encountered while viewing an advertisement from GECCU. Although the question is not direct to the research question, indirectly, it is a challenge for GECCU in that the company is not applying the correct strategy for each target audience. These findings were in line with those of Borau-Boira et al. (2023) who examined the difficulties associated with digital advertising. This research showed different perspectives on the phenomenon exist in some areas and as a result the studies are new. Chaffey’s Social Media Marketing theory did not directly address this question, however, it suggests that the…
