Questions 1. Why would reallocation of inventory from one customer to another be a major issue for discussion? ( Sharda, R., Delen, D., & Turban, E. (2017). Reallocating inventory from one customer to another is a discussion with multifaceted concerns. Companies that use this approach may see a decline in customer relationships, financial issues, and punishment through legalities for this practice. Shifting inventory can lead to concerns from the initial company that was allocated the inventory, causing concerns about the timing of the products being received. Financial issues can come about when reallocating due to transportation, and revenue of the inventory. There is likely a contractual agreement that specifies when the customers receive their part. When the agreement is broken it could cause legal issues that put the company at risk of being sued, which will likely be more money lost in the end. If a company is in this predicament, it is important to maintain effective communication so that there aren’t any misunderstandings. Regulatory compliance and customer needs influence business decisions, allowing the company to continue operating. 2
