Over the past few years, the manufacturing industry has experienced a disconnect between its logic-based model and its consumers as a result of increased competition and technological advances. Due to the current economic situation and technological changes in the market, many companies are still looking for ways to improve their competitive advantage. It is important for Chinese companies to have good R&D skills in order to maintain their competitive edge. With the rise of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, companies will be able to test new products and services. Development managers are expected to become more prominent in the future because of the fact that the number of organizations worldwide working together is increasing. In early studies, it was discovered that the development of new products was a crucial component in maintaining a competitive advantage for a company. It has been estimated that around 33 percent of all sales and 22% of all earnings were generated by new products during the mid-1980s. In modern organizations, the value of these two measures has significantly increased as a result of their integration. Today, many companies are able to remain competitive by offering their customers high-quality products at a reasonable price. For instance, in 2019, Huawei was named as the top company in China in
terms of securing patent authorizations in the course of the year. A number of new products were introduced to the market by Huawei during this period of time. By releasing these new products, the company was able to demonstrate the company's ability to develop innovative products and deliver them on time. Many companies are now becoming aware of the importance of having the necessary management and product creation skills in order to maintain the competitive advantage they have in the market as a result of the rapid globalization and diversification of markets. In order to maintain their position as leaders in their respective industries, companies must continually develop new products that contain enhanced features and are more affordable so that they can maintain their leadership position. The concept of integrated product development refers to the idea that the process of developing products is integrated. As a result of IBM's product development strategy, the company was able to improve the efficiency of its product development process. In addition to reducing the time it took to bring the product to market, it also increased its profitability. There is a lack of in-depth studies conducted by most academic institutions when it comes to the management of product development programs. Additionally, they do not examine the growing trends in the theoretical foundations of product innovation, as well as the strategies for developing new products. It is now possible for researchers to forecast the future trends of product development by using software such as Histcite as well as the Citespace predictive tool associated with the software. It is the objective of this paper to provide a comprehensive analysis of the various aspects of the development of a product, including the management of projects, as well as the process of product development. In addition to this, it examines the potential of statistical methods as an analytical tool for analyzing the logic of design, and its application to various types of designs.
Histcite software is a powerful tool that provides a statistical summary of product development research, as well as an examination of the changes that have occurred in the field since its inception, along with an evaluation of the future trends. Using Citespace software, data on various research topics related to product development were gathered and organized into hemes that are based on different research topics. Afterwards, a case study was conducted to provide a comprehensive analysis of the various aspects of the development of a product. As part of the discussion, the future directions of the industry will also be discussed. Meanwhile, it will serve as an inspiration for academics to conduct their own future research on the development of products. As part of the links between the R & D activities carried out by businesses and those carried out in academia, this case study serves as a link. By reviewing existing studies, one can gain new perspectives in order to gain a better understanding of the subject. Analysis In accordance with Lee et al. (2019) there is a wide variety of new products that can be categorized into three types: those that are brand-new, those that have been enhanced, and those that have been renewed. The development of a product can take many forms, such as the introduction of new technology, the development of a mixed product, or the development of an independent product. In order to create, sell, and manufacture a new product, the product development process encompasses every step of the entire process (Lee, et al 2019). When it comes to developing a new product, one of the most important factors that manufacturers consider is the concept of the product.
