Name: Jasmine Louis
Childcare Proposal Greetings, associates at Firm X. My name is Jasmine Louis, and I'm a team leader here at this company. Imagine if you were a parent with no place to put your child while you were gone.
Or maybe you don't have to imagine; maybe you or someone you know has this reality. This proposal is for people living in that reality.
Many parents struggle with having access to support in childcare. Between balancing their lives and their children’s, it can be hard to maintain both, especially with not enough resources available. Some parents struggle financially, making it unaffordable; others can’t find the time because their job requires longer hours out of them; and in most cases, some have to work longer to they don't struggle financially. Unavailable childcare for working parents can be an issue due to some parents having to miss work days so they get less pay, leave their jobs, or worse, losing their job. I see this circumstance as an issue because raising a kid is hard enough so
if you can’t work to provide for the child, that can be where a lot of parents really start to struggle. Which is why I say that we establish in-house childcare services for our workers to fix those issues. This creates a system where our workers don’t have to worry about having a place to put their children while they are at work.
This proposal will be effective because I know how stressful these situations can be since
I watched my own family struggle with making sure there was someone to watch me as a kid. It’s motivation to make changes with our company. It’s motivation to change our employees. Its motivation is to make the workplace a better place.
Firm X can expect a great work environment along with this plan. Employees will be more loyal to the company, saving money, and they will be more at ease with their children being closer and in a safe environment. This can eleviate many stresses that affect an employees work ethic. Company morale will be boosted, this can bring employees closer together in the work environment and increase their engagement with the job, and attract more talent to the job and filling up more position. All while benefiting both parties involved; it’s like killing two birds
with one stone. Actions and Steps for This Project:
●
The location of the facility should be somewhere easily accessible from the actually work
area
●
The CEO of Firm X can make all the informed decisions like who is hired for the project and its affordability
●
Holding group meetings and conducting surveys are some ways we can gauge the interest
of our participants ●
The hiring process is dependent on whoever the CEO chooses as team leaders of the projects
●
Logistics and protocols used to run the center will be taken care of by the director of the project, who is who also determined by the CEO
●
This project will take about half a year. The first few months will be for funding, gathering participants, and planning. The last few will be dedicated towards building assigned positions and informing the public on how the system works
●
Some information that will help Firm X understand their next steps in the project is:
●
Festable study or survey, staffing, type of curriculum, business, marketing and financial plan, and location
In conclusion, an on-site childcare facility would benefits our employees and our company. It will take a lot of planning but it can really change things for the better because the company can reduce turnover rates and employees would be less likely to struggle with balancing their work and home life. performance and dedication during the Covid-19 pandemic. You would love to give them the raise

Use this opportunity to practice positive communication with employees and email this team

that a raise will be approved once funds are available.
Think about the best way to relay this information to the team member. How can you demonstrate
good leadership skills in the email?

FAO-Funded Aquaponics Project Launched In Barbados Barbados GIS – The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has collaborated with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy, and local business Adams Aquafarms, on a project to train persons in aquaponics. Aquaponics is a sustainable way of integrating land-based fish farming with plant production. Both are placed in a tank, and the set up allows for them to coexist, with the waste produced by the fish fertilizing the plants, while the plants purify the water for the fish. The training, funded by the FAO, will take place at a demonstration facility, located at Adams Aquafarms, Hopewell, St. Thomas. The FAO is currently targeting 30 entrepreneurs and 10 teachers. Minister of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy, Kirk Humphrey, believes the project will be “transformative”, as it has the potential to empower Barbadians. “In aquaponics, you have the opportunity…
