Recommendations for organizational changes to support continuous innovation. Creating an organizational culture that supports innovation will likely derive from a combination of leadership styles, shared values, and working practices. To create a shared understanding of innovation, it is recommended that the company adopt an incremental or discontinuous strategy depending on the situation and the product to respond to existing changes within the industry. The current structure needs to be more flexible and flexible, which prevents employees from having opportunities to innovate and delays the process. Make an organizational change to support innovation from the first day of hire and where all management is involved and believes in this new culture. It is known that there is an urgent need to change the decision-making and communication competencies between employees and their supervisors. Management needs to set their focus on prioritizing to influence a change in the cultural practices and behaviors by fostering and nurturing the attitudes of their employees. A suggested practice is to motivate the employees to be creative and frequently reinforce these behaviors by allotting time and recognition for their efforts. The company will benefit from adopting an agile approach which promotes constant adaptation. This strategy focuses on realigning goals and communication approaches so that the main stakeholders are focused on delivering what is most essential. Creating cross-functional developers and end users teams will foster a collaborative environment where individual ideas are discussed and actualized. The agile approach also alters the power dynamics as employees are empowered to make decisions and create priorities within each project. This autonomy will intrinsically motivate employees to be more creative and innovative.
