Lab 6 NOL Yeast Fermentation Data Table T.C. Gillevet Name Name Lab 6 Yeast Fermentation - Data Table Save as a pdf when you have completed collecting all the data. Add your name to the filename before you upload it in Lab 6 Exercise. Record data for 4 trials every 5 minutes. Read details thoroughly before setting up any tubes! 1. Measure the height of the air space from the desk-top to the top of the liquid. Write the height for the air column at time = 0 min., when you first invert the tubes. For the first measurement, SUBTRACT the initial height (mm) at time = 0 min., from initial height (mm) at time = 0 min. Record the difference. Sample 1. At time = 0 minutes. Time = 0 min., height = 35mm Time = 0 min., height = 35mm. SUBTRACT 35mm – 35mm = 0mm Record 0 mm 2. For the next measurement, at time = 5 minutes measure the height of the air space from the desk-top to the top of the liquid. SUBTRACT the new height at time = 5 minutes from initial height (mm) at time = zero. Record the difference. Sample 2. At time = 5 minutes. Time = 0 min., height 35mm Time = 5 min., height = 31mm SUBTRACT 35mm – 31mm = 4mm Record 4 mm Time (minutes) Trial 1 CO 2 (mm) Trial 2 CO 2 (mm) Trial 3 CO 2 (mm) Trial 4 CO 2 (mm) 0 0 0 0 0 5 3 2 1 0 10 5 3 1 0 15 20 14 1 0 20 30 21 1 0 25 35 29 1 0 30 39 33 1 0 35 45 39 1 0 Data Table 1.
