Remember you do not include your unknown values in your standard curve! Include a trend-line, and using the equation from the standard curve, calculate the dissolved oxygen concentration of each of your samples. Calculations of DO concentrations from Table 3: Test Tube #1 – 11.5 mg/L Test Tube #2 – 11.4 mg/L Test Tube #3 – 11.6 mg/L Test Tube #4 – 11.9 mg/L Test Tube #5 – 11.4 mg/L My Results were vastly different than the results shown above. This is most likely due to the amount of water and plant leaves that were in the test tube. My results show that the Dissolved Oxygen concentration was much higher during every result than the ones above. Our absorbance levels were also much lower than the table above, again most likely due to the amount of water we had (a lower amount than the table above) in our test tubes.
