: minimum of 3 descriptive sentences for each item. [G]
:
minimum of 5 descriptive sentences including APA-
formatted in-text Bolles citation.
A: My expectation before taking this assessment was that it was
going to be a standard personality test that one could just click through. I also expected to be presented with a “quick fix: this is
the job for you” type of assessment but I was mistaken. I also expected the assessment to be longer but, in all actuality, it only
took 2 minutes to complete it. B: In terms of usability, the assessment can be extremely useful when it comes to finding a job. The breakdown of how much education and training is needed to break into certain careers was a particularly useful aspect of the assessment for those who
are on a time restraint. C: The process of interpreting the results was enjoyable. It was interesting getting to see different aspects of myself and how those translate into different careers. I have not taken an aptitude or personality test in years, so it was insightful to see how much I have changed and where my interests lie now that I am older. D: I learned that I am not the person that I used to be. My interests have shifted drastically. Where in the past I found myself being more Realistic and Conventional, now I am more driven to the Investigative and Social aspects of things. E: This assessment confirmed my current career path. I bounced between many different career paths, and it is refreshing to take
assessment and have it truly align with my intentions for my future.
F: I would say this assessment was helpful. It revealed to my aspects that I would not think that I had and even offered job solutions and careers to help better those aspects. It provided career opportunities and educational information depending on what career path the user chose to take. G: Time management and having a concise goal are two important aspects of being successful in finding and securing a career. “One way to focus on a positive reality and future is set to meaningful goals.” (Bolles, 2019) The careers section of the IP
test supports this ideology by offering educational information that is segmented into different requirements further the initiative to make realistic goals to complete. This also helps with the time management portion, by being supplied with the correct paths needed to reach any given career it cuts back some of the work the user has to accomplish and research themselves. The Careers section of the IP Assessment offers many opportunities to set simple goals. 2. What is your 3-letter RIASEC Code – Highest 3 letter scores. Explain if this code seems to “fit” you – Why? Why not? (min of 3 descriptive sentences)
My 3-Letter RIASEC Code was ISA. This code seems to “fit” me, I have always been a social butterfly with an attraction towards the
art world. The Investigative, which I scored highest on, did shock me. I do not look at myself as an investigative person, but I still trust the results to be true. The assessment helped me to realize that there are characteristics that I possess that I may have been
downplaying and ignoring, so even though I may not see those qualities on the surface of myself doesn’t mean that they aren’t still there. 3. This Question is a Freebie!
