If you were a child, what might your experience be in this environment?
---“Indoor Tree House”
1. What does this environment tell you the teacher values and expects of you?
As mentioned in Saskatchewan Ministry of Education (2009), A welcoming indoor environment receives the most attention from educators, children and other adults. To bring the natural world into the indoor space, like the indoor tree house, it will receive children’s attention, curiosity to explore, to seek cooperative, to communicate, to develop their physical, emotional, creativity, language, social etc. 2. How do you think you might behave if you spent your days in this place?
If I were a child, wherever the tree house is indoor or outdoor, it will be a second home for me. It will provide entertainment, fun and a great place for me to interact with my friends, to spend more time together to explore the nature, to create more idea on what dramatic play on each day, what props should we have for the play. We will learn how to communicate, how to manage our temper and emotion, how to seek help etc. every day is a fun
day.
3. What is in this environment that helps you focus and be intentional about your use of time?
An indoor tree house let me have an opportunity to get in touch with nature especially in the wintertime Saskatchewan. It be a place where I can hang out alone or with my peers, and I will feel safe and comfortable to learning and have fun when there is impossible to go outside. 4. What support and guidance might you need to benefit from this environment?
Builds a closer connection with natural.
More active play.
Development of language, critical thinking.
Develop problem-solving skills.
Social and Emotional Skills Development
Communication and Language Development
