6-1 Activity: Bad News Email 2 Subject: Delay in DataNanny Project Milestone Dear Director Vancil, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an issue that has recently arisen in the development of our DataNanny project. Unfortunately, we have encountered a significant setback that has caused us to miss a major milestone in the project. As you know, DataNanny is our upcoming data tracker isolation product that aims to provide users with complete control over their personal and corporate data. Our team has been working tirelessly on this project to ensure that it meets the highest quality and functionality standards. However, we recently encountered a technical issue related to new security measures introduced by Apple Inc their latest release of iOS 16.1.2. These measures have caused compatibility issues with our existing code, and we have been unable to resolve the issue in a timely manner delaying iOS beta testing of DataNanny. As a result, we have missed our most recent milestone for iOS beta testing originally scheduled to begin April 4 th , 2023, and are now behind schedule on the project. Android beta testing is on schedule and will begin on April 10th, 2023. I understand that this news is disappointing, and I want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Our team is actively developing a solution that will allow us to proceed with the project. We have also contacted Apple Inc’s Developer Support and submitted a Technical Support Incident (TSI) for code-level support. We are awaiting their response to our questions concerning the recent changes in iOS security. We will keep you updated on our progress, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this delay may cause. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality product that meets your and our customers' expectations. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, William Jarrell Team Lead – DataNanny Development Team Optimum Way Development
