Compare Two Mobile Operating Systems
Introduction
There has always been a debate on which operating system is the best, or the forever debate about which is better between Android and Apple. Let’s compare the two and see which one is the best regarding security and different features they both entail. My opinion may change after we do this compare and contrast as well. I have always own Apple products. IOS VS Android
Apple is well known for the simplicity of different features and the easy transfers between all devices. According to Apple, on December 7
th
, 2022, they posted an article on their website that stated they advanced their user security with new data protectors. Craig Federighi states in the article “At Apple… provide our users with the best data security in the world…
constantly identify and mitigate emerging threats to their personal data on device and in the cloud.” (Federighi, 2022) He states how important it is for them to keep their data safe from being breached whether it be on their device or in their storage place known as the cloud. Just in December of 2022 they introduced iMessage Contact Key Verification, Security Keys, and Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. All of these different features are used to keep your security up to date and protected. iOS is used amongst many different Apple devices from iPods to the newest and latest iPhone, but also not limited to watches, ipads, and different mac computers. A lot of different people will argue that Android is much better and they will never leave android devices to go to Apple no matter how hard anyone tries to sway their opinions to a different one. Android has some similar security features as iOS but not as many or as in depth Vigil, CIS111

What is the Macintosh operating system (MacOS), and how does it differ from other operating systems like Windows and Linux?
arrow_forward
We talked about how the operating system (OS) puts processes into memory and controls where they are while they are running. Virtual memory is a popular and useful idea that is used by almost all operating systems today. Does virtual memory work with smartphone running systems, like Android and iOS? If not, why? If they don't, what do they do?Look for a current study on study question 1 and find out how companies are using cutting-edge technology to solve this problem.

We spoke about how the operating system (OS) manages where processes reside in memory and how they are loaded into memory. Virtual memory is a powerful and widely used feature in modern operating systems. Is virtual memory used by mobile operating systems like Android and iOS? Otherwise, why not? If not, then what do they do?Seek out latest research on Research Question 1 and see how companies are dealing with this issue utilising innovative technologies.

We spoke about how the operating system allots memory to processes and where they are located when they are executing. Virtual memory is a popular and very efficient concept utilized by almost all modern operating systems. Does virtual memory get used by mobile operating systems, notably Android and iOS? Then why not? What happens then if it does not work?Locate contemporary research that answers Research Question 1 and delves into how different companies have responded to the rapid pace of technological change in this sector.

We discussed how the OS allocates memory for running processes and manages their locations. Almost all modern operating systems make use of the concept of virtual memory. Do mobile operating systems like Android and iOS support virtual memory? And if not, why not?
