1. Summarize the most important points covered in this unit.
In this unit, we learned about commerce and the marketplace. During that time a man named Yamaha created some instruments although he was trained in medical instruments, he agreed a repair an instrument for the West then learned technology and created his own instruments. Not all that but CDs came into pictures as well mp3s with all the technology. The artist made a lot of profit with CDs with the Mp3 not so much since there a lot of issues with computers and sharing music illegally and the organization had to issue individuals which it seems irrational to sue a little kid 2. What did you read that reminded you of something you knew before, or connected with something else you are currently learning? Why?
As I’m learning about Mp3 and how we share music today. It is hilarious that an organization would sue an individual rather than the other way around as today the individuals are the ones suing big companies such as Uber, Spotify, and YouTube, where some of the laws are there to protect the individuals from the big companies. 3. What surprised or interested you most in this unit?
I was surprised how Yamaha was able to create and make instruments for the West in the classroom. I remember growing up seeing these musical instruments with Yamaha. For some reason, I never thought about the name and what it meant. Now I know some history about it

There are a some companies, such as Microsoft, Apple and Google, that have moved into many different areas of computing, such as operating systems, application software, cloud software, search, and more, and some of these companies have been accused of monopolistic procedures. Are there any technology on which you rely excessively? Instead of being written down, phone numbers are now being encoded into mobile devices. Some people have a sense of helplessness when they are in a foreign location without a calculator to convert the local currency. Email archives are often used to preserve a person's addresses and appointments. If any of these technological systems collapse, we may not survive. Create a list of the technologies that are absolutely necessary in your life. Think about the consequences that may arise if any of these technologies were to fail. What steps can you take to protect yourself from such a disastrous outcome?

Many people believe that the digital world may be roughly divided into two groups: those who have access to computers and the Internet, and those who do not. Some argue that this has serious moral repercussions, and that the disparity must be addressed. Those on the bottom may feel marginalized and deprived of opportunities because of it. Do you believe that everyone, whatever where they live, their financial situation, their level of education, or their level of technological expertise, should have access to computers and the Internet? Whose responsibility is it to provide aid and instruction and whose money will cover the costs? So why isn't universal Internet access a necessity?

Some people believe that this has substantial ethical implications and that there is a moral obligation to remedy the imbalance. Those who "have nots" may feel discriminated against or socially ostracized, and they miss out on a wide variety of life opportunities as a result. Do you believe that everyone, regardless of where they live, their needs, their level of ability, or their financial means, ought should have access to computers and the Internet? Who is responsible for providing services and education, as well as footing the bill? Why isn't having access to the internet a must for everyone?

With the advent of various technological advancements, law enforcement efforts in the investigation and prosecution of crime have been met with positive results. However, with every advantage comes a disadvantage. Criminals have also benefited from these technologies and use the same advancements that law enforcement employs during the commission of their crimes, or as a tool for their crimes (this is evidenced in computer-related offenses and the misuse of the internet). In a 3 – 4 page paper (excluding title and reference pages), address the following areas in full detail: summarize the advantages of computers/software and the use of computer technology in investigations, summarize the disadvantages to law enforcement with respect to the advancements of computers, research a case where the computer was used to aid in the commission of a crime, research a case where the use of the computer was beneficial to the prosecution in a criminal case, and provide a final…

As the evidence on the adverse effects of cigarette smoke grew, people tried many different ways
to quit smoking. Some people tried chewing tobacco or, as it was called, smokeless tobacco. A
small amount of tobacco was placed between the cheek and gum. Certain chemicals from the
tobacco were absorbed into the bloodstream and gave the sensation of smoking cigarettes. This
prompted studies on the adverse effects of smokeless tobacco. One study in particular used 40
university students as subjects. Twenty were given smokeless tobacco to chew, and twenty given a
substance that looked and tasted like smokeless tobacco, but did not contain any of the harmful
substances. The students were randomly assigned to one of the groups. The students' blood
and heart rate were measured before they started chewing and 20 minutes after they
had been chewing. A significant increase in heart rate occurred in the group that chewed the
smokeless tobacco. Answer the following questions.

You’re helping a group of ethnographers analyze some oral history data they’ve collected by interviewing members of a village to learn about the lives of people who’ve lived there over the past two hundredyears. From these interviews, they’ve learned about a set of n people (all of them now deceased), whom we’lldenote P1, P2, . . . , Pn. They’ve also collected facts about when these people lived relative to one another. Each fact has one of the following two forms:• For some i and j, person Pi died before person Pj was born; or• for some i and j, the life spans of Pi and Pj overlapped at least partially.Naturally, they’re not sure that all these facts are correct; memories are not so good, and a lot of this waspassed down by word of mouth. So what they’d like you to determine is whether the data they’ve collectedis at least internally consistent, in the sense that there could have existed a set of people for which all thefacts they’ve learned simultaneously hold.Give an efficient…

scenario:
The automation in our lives has changes much, and so as in our purchasing and selling approaches. Big food chains and Pizza makers are also in quest of means to automate their production so that best and quick services can be provided to the customers. A company called “Eating Bytes” has gone one step forward. The company is planning to use the self-driving cars for their orders delivery. Furthermore, the company has taken its entire kitchen to the inside of the driverless car. Once an order is received from a customer, the car will be heading towards the destination and in the meantime the pizza will be baked, prepared and packed within that car. So, from order taking to order delivery, all the processes have been automated.
