The questions in this section will deal with the data above. i) State A couldn’t find the funds to get more tests. They couldn’t afford an increased police force to watch it’s citizen’s and it decided to do nothing. Based upon the graph of weekly COVID cases over the 20 weeks, does it look like they did a good job? Yes, it does look like state A did a good job because the weekly cases graph for state A has remained mostly flat throughout the period of observation so without doing anything, they were able to keep the cases level flat. ii) State B increased testing as much as they could. After 8 weeks, they noticed that the number of cases each week had been raising. So, they also instituted a quarantine at that point to help reduce the spread of COVID. Based upon the graph for State B, does it look like their actions helped? Yes, it does look like State B's actions helped because from week 8 onwards, their weekly cases have continuously gone down until the end of observation period. iii) State C decided to listen to Trump and decreased the amount of testing. They took no actions to stop the spread. Looking at the graph for State C, does it look like they did a good job combating COVID-19 Yes, it does look so because weekly cases for C' has been continuously going down. iv) State D Decided to increase the amount test given each week. They noticed that the graph is heading up and no matter what they did, it continued to go up. Does it look like State D has a major COVID-19 issue? Yes, it does look like they have major covid issue because their weekly cases have been continuously rising.
