Short questions must be answered in the spaces provided or follow the word limits as instructed.
For those activities requesting extra evidence such as: research reports, ESSAY reports, etc. The
student must attach its own work formatted in double space, Arial 12 pts.
All assessment tasks must be addressed correctly in order to obtain a competence for the unit of
competency.
If the Student doesn’t understand the assessment, they can request help from the assessor to
interpret the assessment.
All assessments must be submitted online.
Note
: that the hard copy of the assessments will not be accepted.
Re-assessment of Result& Academic Appeal procedures:
If a student is not happy with his/ her results, that student may appeal against their grade via a written
letter, clearly stating the grounds of appeal to the Student Support. This should be submitted after
completion of the subject and within fourteen days of commencement of the new term.
Re-assessment Process:
An appeal in writing is made to the student support providing reasons for re-assessment /appeal.
Student support will delegate another faculty member to review the assessment.
The student will be advised of the review result done by another assessor.
If the student is still not satisfied and further challenges the decision, then a review panel is formed
comprising the lecturer/trainer in charge and the management OR if need be an external assessor.
The Institute will advise the student within 14 days from the submission date of the appeal. The
decision of the panel will be deemed to be final.
If the student is still not satisfied with the result, the he / she has the right to seek independent
advice or follow external mediation option with nominated mediation agency.
Any student who fails a compulsory subject or appeals unsuccessfully will be required to re-enroll in that subject. The cost of reassessment will be borne by the Institute. The external assessor will base his/her judgement based on principles of assessment. These principles require assessment to be reliable, fair, practical and valid.
Academic Appeals
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the re-evaluation process, you have a right to appeal
through academic appeals handling protocol.
To appeal a decision, the person is required to complete the Sunbeam Request for Appeal of a
Decision form with all other supporting documents, if any. This form will be available via our
website. The completed Request for Appeal form is to be submitted to the Student Support Officer
either in hard copy or electronically via email.
The notice of appeal should be in writing addressed to the management and submitted within seven
days of notification of the outcome of the re-evaluation process.
If the appeal is not lodged in the specified time, the result will stand and you must re-enroll in the
unit.
In emergency circumstances, such as in cases of serious illness or injury, you must forward a
medical certificate in support of a deferred appeal. The notice of appeal must be made within three
working days of the concluding date shown on the medical certificate.
The decision of Management will be final.
Student would then have the right to pursue the claim through an independent external body as
detailed in the students’ complaint / grievance policy.

Outline a meeting structure for an informal meeting. The structure of an informal meeting does not follow the rule of having a specific setting. Participants in the meeting can set the agenda and the concept of minutes might not be included in the informal meeting structure if not required. There is no specific structure to be followed in such meetings and participants are free to contribute their ideas.

Outline at least three key arrangements that need to be made for a meeting. The first arrangement for a meeting is the agenda as the requirements of the discussion topics are predominant. The discussion can lead to achieving and fulfilling the meeting objectives by having this crucial arrangement. The second arrangement includes a number of candidates to be expected for joining the meeting. The third arrangement component can be seen as the venue to hold the meeting with the participants. It is impactful for determining the quality of discussion and the fulfillment of the agenda. The meeting planning must consider the venue as a significant arrangement as the meeting outcome can depend on this.

Outline two responsibilities of a chairperson prior to a meeting.
Setting the agenda
of the meeting is the major responsibility of a chairperson as observing the participants to be engaged with the agenda is important. The effectiveness of the meeting execution plan can be seen by fulfilling this responsibility of a chairperson. A positive and effective team can be built by having a constructive agenda as well. The second major responsibility of a chairperson is to obey the conventions

The job of a chairperson during a meeting should consider some important aspects to be followed. Leading the meeting
to meet the agenda is the primary job that a chairperson has in a meeting. Moreover, the representation of the group
to the public is another job that is included in the chairperson's job. Another significant job of a chairperson includes approving the minutes
of a formal meeting.

Explain why it is important for a chairperson to monitor the participation of all those involved in a meeting.
Monitoring the active participation of the members should be initiated by the chairperson to provide them with an equal opportunity to express their ideas. It can ensure avoiding private talks among the participants that are inappropriate in a formal meeting. meeting. A chairperson can manage a meeting where a participant is dominating the meeting by managing the flow. The chairperson can politely ask the dominator to conclude their points and to provide an equal chance for others to contribute to the meeting.

Explain how, in the role of a chairperson, you would manage someone who is too shy to contribute to a meeting. The meeting agendas can be provided by the chairperson beforehand to provide time for the shy candidates for thinking and composing suggestions. They should be provided with validation for contributing positively to the meeting and adding value as well.

A chairperson can schedule time for individuals to speak instead of showing stifling passion for side conversations. People can be engaged in taking notes and contributing further to the discussion by approaching this method.

Group dynamics is regarded to be a social process through which interaction among people takes place. The observation of individual participants and their behavior is done in a group environment that is included in group dynamics.
