Executive Summary
Purpose
The purpose of this export plan is for the company to evaluate the realities of wheat exportation from the United States to Mexico. This plan will first introduce the product that is being exported as well as why it is being exported at such a high rate. Next, this plan will explain
why Mexico imports so much wheat from the United Sates, as well as evaluate the market for wheat in Mexico. The research will also provide an analysis of the trade history between these two countries in order to forecast the future of the industry. This plan will also explain the implications with exporting wheat from the United States to Mexico. This plan will prepare the company to enter the international market of wheat exportation to one of the top importers of wheat in the world, Mexico. Lastly, this plan will set forth goals for the company to evaluate their progress along the way. Major Points
The United States and Mexico are part of NAFTA. This means they can trade freely
across borders. Each year since the early 2000s, Mexico has been a top importer of wheat from
the United States. This opens a window for the company to jump into a billion-dollar market and
industry. Each year, Mexico imports more wheat than the year prior. This industry is only
increasing and is a huge opportunity for the company. Results
Mexico’s population has been increasing each year. With low yields from the crop fields within the country, they are forced to import wheat to supply their country with food. With the Mexican diet containing large amounts of wheat, exporting wheat to Mexico is an opportunity for the company to join a largely growing industry with little to no risk. This risk assessment is

based off of NAFTA, previous years of exports, and monetary statistics provided by the United States Department of Agriculture. Introduction
The product I have selected for this export plan is wheat. Wheat is a grain that is grown and harvested mainly within the Midwest region of the United States. Wheat is typically milled into flour and is then used to make a wide variety of foods (US AG, 2020). These foods include bread, muffins, pasta noodles, cakes, cereal and many different snack foods. Overall, wheat is a very versatile grain, and can be used in a variety of different ways. I choose to do this export plan on wheat because the world needs food to survive and the United States exports over 9 billion metric tons of wheat each year (Wheat, 2019). I also lived in the Midwest for two years and was amazed by the endless miles and acres of wheat, corn and soybean fields. I had no idea how much wheat the United States produced and exported each year. This export plan was a great opportunity for me to learn about the United States food industry and how exporting wheat can be advantageous to the company. I choose to export to Mexico because Mexico is second on the list of importers of wheat from the United States. It is clear that Mexico has a growing need for wheat and cannot adequately produce enough wheat themselves to suffice their needs. Hence, why Mexico imports
as much wheat as they do. Based on research, we can see how the market of grain in Mexico is expanding and is a multimillion-dollar industry (US AG, 2019). Overall, Mexico is a larger importer of wheat from the United States and with the geographical advantage of Mexico being our southern border, it is clear to see why Mexico imports wheat from the United States.

Modern logistics! It would be hard to imagine our daily digital lives without them. As consumers, we can shop online every day and any hour of the day. We expect everything to arrive on time – whether clothing, printer spare parts or a set of screws. Online shopping is booming: in 2018, courier, express and parcel services, the so-called CEP sector, delivered around 3.5 billion shipments in Germany alone. And this is an upward trend. But how does all this work so smoothly, safely and on time? After all, we live in turbulent times: digitalization, climate crisis, growing world population and political and economic instability. How does the logistics industry rise to such challenges? For answers to these questions we need to dive deep into the world of modern logistics. Our film takes us into huge, fully connected warehouses, watching as fleets of cargo planes are prepared for take-off at night and accompanying couriers on delivery bikes on…

An account of the difficulties of Japanese mobile phone manufacturers argues that thesefirms made a mistake by concentrating on selling in high-income countries while makinglittle effort to sell in low-income countries:The main growth in the wireless industry overall is in emerging markets, which needcheap phones. The world’s top three makers—Nokia, Samsung and Motorola—focus onthis segment. . . . Japanese firms are caught in a vicious circle: because they are notselling to poor countries, their volume stays low, which keeps prices high, which makesselling to poor countries infeasible. Why would the price of Japanese mobile phones be high because Japanese firms areproducing these phones in low volumes? Igrushka is a profit-maximizing firm producing wooden dolls-a capital-intensive good-which are sold in its home country, Russia, and abroad in
France. Igrushka chose foreign production as a method of penetrating the French market and has to decide whether it is more efficient to directly
invest in France to establish a production subsidiary or to license the technology to a French firm to produce its goods.
On the following graph, AVCFrance is the average variable cost curve of a French firm producing wooden dolls. (This curve represents costs such as
labor and materials.) The curve ATCSubsidiary represents the total unit costs Igrushka will face if it establishes a subsidiary in France.

Competition and big tech firmsBig tech firms in digital markets are at the forefront of the public policy debate because of the central role they play in today's economy and society. A small number of firms dominate their respective markets, from online retailing to operating systems and from social networking to online search. These concentrations of economic power, along with concerns about anti-competitive conduct, have focused a lot of attention on these digital giants. Several of these firms have recently been or are currently under investigation by antitrust authorities in the USA, China and the European Union.Choose one or two of these markets and describe the alleged problems facing competition. Is high concentration leading to high profits and harming consumers and social welfare or are these firms dominant because they are efficient and provide good value to consumers? What are the most appropriate policy responses?A good selection of academic articles was published in a…

Short Case Study-Jeep
The original Jeep was introduced during World War II when the US Army was looking for
a fast, lightweight, all-terrain vehicle. We don't know for sure where the name came from
but we do know that Jeep vehicles were quickly recognized by soldiers and civilians alike
as the vehicle that could go anywhere and do anything.
The original Willys were the predecessors of today's line-up of Jeep vehicles. Today's Jeep
brand grew from a single product in 1946 (the CJ-2) to include the Wagoneer in the
1960's, which later evolved into the Cherokee in the 1980's. The CJs evolved into the
Wrangler in 1987. After 60 years of production, Jeep introduced the Liberty in 2002. All
of these vehicles had one thing in common: they were designed for off-road adventure.
Thus, they are "trail rated."
Reflected in pop-culture throughout several decades, the Jeep represents a unique
American "personality." Its exposure had its early beginnings with Sgt. Beatle Bailey in
the 1940s,…

EconomicsQ&A LibraryTwo firms A and B produce an identical product (Note: Industry Output = Q). The firms have to decide how much output qA and qB (Note: qA = Firm A Output; qB = Firm B Output) they must produce since they are the only two firms in the industry that manufacture this product. Their marginal cost (MC) is equal to their average cost (AC) and it is constant at MC = AC = X, for both firms. Market demand is given as Q = Y – 2P (where P = price and Q = quantity). Select any value for X between [21 – 69] and any value for Y between [501 – 999].
