Payton Woolace 10-06-23 Lab Report 3 Page 1
Payton Woolace 10-06-23 Objective Lab 3 was about learning how to use Pspice in order to analyze a DC circuit. In this lab I was tasked with analyzing a DC circuit and imputing various components into Pspice using the component’s Pspice formula. Procedure Firstly, I was tasked with creating a Pspice code in order to see if the DC circuit would work. Secondly I opened Pspice and followed the wire from the node zero up until node four in order to analyze the circuit. Discussion In this Lab I used the software Pspice in order to find the values of the different components in a DC circuit. I entered each of the specific formulae for every component of the circuit. The results are posted in the appendix section. Pspice is a very useful tool, and this lab is a very good example of this. To solve this without Pspice I would’ve had to use nodal analysis at each of the four nodes and apply Kirchhoff’s current law at every node, which would’ve taken much longer. I got four accurate nodal voltages due to my use of Pspice, as well as a voltage source current and the total power dissipation. Conclusion Because of this lab I have learned the importance and use of Pspice. I have also learned what each of the components used in a DC circuit formulae. Finally I have learned how to use Pspice to analyze a DC circuit. Page 1
