AGILE PRESENTATION Laura Pittman
SCRUM-AGILE TEAM ROLES Product Owner The product owner maximizes the product value meaning they are in charge of setting product goals, working with developers to set sprint goals, and gathering feedback from various people interacting with the product to ensure all parties are heard and their input is considered in later sprints (The Scrum Team, n.d.). Developer The developer is a role less than 10 people on the team will share, but they will all work together to contribute to overall sprint goal, manage sprint backlog, and give feedback in daily scrum meetings (The Scrum Team, n.d.). Scrum Master The scrum master’s purpose is to help other team members understand scrum framework and values, assist with meetings, remove any obstacles preventing progress, and help the team understand and find techniques to effectively manage product backlog (The Scrum Team, n.d.).
SDLC PHASES Planning In this phase the need for an enhanced/upgraded system is recognized and the total system needs are identified, prioritized, and arranged (Valacich & George, 2019). Analysis This phase can be broken down into requirements determination in which analysts are able to determine what users want from the system as well as study current processes to move on to the second phase in which they will study and structure the requirements based on their relationships (Valacich & George, 2019). Design In this phase the proposed solution is converted into logical and physical system specifications for Scrum team members to review (Valacich & George, 2019). Implementation In this phase the logical and physical system specifications are turned into a working system through coding and testing (Valacich & George, 2019). Maintenance This phase can happen at any point during the software design process and is the time in which the system is repaired and improved (Valacich & George, 2019). Each phase is implemented in an agile approach typically in the order they are listed here, however the agile methodology embraces change and adaptability which allows a Scrum team to move back and forth between the phases as needed to ensure the best system is produced and released.
