The Mayo Clinic was founded in 1883 by the Mayo brothers, the Sister’s of St. Francis, and their colleagues (Burns, K, The Mayo Clinic, History of the Clinic, n.d.) . The hospital grew into a place of treatment for people from all over the globe (Economic Development, Mayo Clinic Business Development, n.d.) . A straightforward handshake, no legal certificate, sealed the alliance between the Sister’s and the Mayo brothers. The Mayo Clinic’s mission statement, “to inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education, and research (Mayo Clinic, Mission and Values, 2023, para 1) . Mayo Clinic’s primary value is “The need of the patient comes first” (Mayo Clinic, Mission and Values, 2023, para 1). The Mayo Clinic website on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) demonstrated accuracy, currency, and objectivity that a website needs to have to be measured as a credible resource. The Mayo Clinic allows the individual to be able to select which support group is best for them. They can click on the support group and in return allow the person to see other related support groups and related blogs about to ADHD (Mayo Clinic Connect, 2018) . For example, the person can search for ADHD and see the topics related to ADHD (Mayo Clinic Connect, 2018) . One of the topics is Adult ADHD: Anyone have experience? (Mayo Clinic Connect, 2018) . They can see the last activity in that support group was as recent as June 5, 2023 (Mayo Clinic Connect, 2018) . This is tool for somebody seeking a support group about ADHD. According to “Navigating in a Web of Deceit,” Roka (2000) gives a list of standards for the creditability of a web site. According to the article, Roka declares one benchmark for a credible website is that it is updated and being able to see the updated evidence.
