San Jose, California, and Houston, Texas, are two lively cities that are commonly characterized as diverse metropolitans. However, the two cities appear similar, with distinctive attributes that set them apart. Many find they differ in weather, cost of living, and public transportation systems. By examining these aspects, we can understand what separates these two urban cities and how they cater to the needs and wants of their residents.
The weather in Houston, TX, can be described as humid with tropical influences. The average temperature in the summer is 93 degrees Fahrenheit. July and August are the hottest months of the year in Houston. On average, humidity is high throughout the year. Temperatures typically stay the same in the fall season and usually begin to drop in mid-October. The winter season lasts up to 3 months. The coldest month in Houston of the year is January. Temperatures stay between a low of 47 degrees Fahrenheit and a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weather in San Jose, California, has a Mediterranean climate feel: dry summers and cool, wet winters. The average high temperature in the summer is 78 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest month is July; the average temperature around this time is a high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit
