Coding Project Final Assignment 2 The coding project I completed was a learning experience and when I and most people think of coding games they think online, but we were tasked to create the game offline and while this was a new concept for me I was ready to learn and come up with a game that the children would like to play and would also learn from the game. As a learner I learned that there are alot of steps that go into creating a coding game, you have to choose and book and when choosing a book you have to think about how well the children know the book and if they like the book, will this book be able to become a coding and work. How will game work and will the children be able to understand the game. As a teacher I learned that the game works and that the children will learn so much from this game such as counting and be able to follow directions, the children will have to understand and be able to move forward,backwards,up and down which they need to be able to understand and while playing this game they will either demonstrate that they understand the concept already and for the children that still need help understanding they will be able to learn it through the game. I choose Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes book because the children in my class all like reading this book and have fun when reading it, I personally like reading this book because when I first started teaching I found this book and bought it for the classroom because I knew we didn’t have it and the children loved it so much and I would end up reading it everyday to the children at some point during the day, so for for me this is the book that I will always considered my first teacher book. When it comes to math and this book I knew I would be able to use it for the children to be able to learn math with the coding game because it could use it create a game where the children would have to
Coding Project Final Assignment 3 count and also use mathematical coding language and use the the language of forward, backwards, up and down during the game. (Resource 1) Coding for me was a new topic for me and I have friends who are teachers and also who teach math and when I asked questions about offline coding they had no idea what I was talking and told me that coding was online only and I have actually helped them by sharing how I made me game and how they can also create an offline coding game. For this game I specifically added the instructions for the game to be able to explain the game and how it works and but with the game the instructions are explaining the words and how they pertain to math. This game will have the children learn math developmental milestones but it can also help children reach their developmental milestones in social and emotional milestones by having the children have to take turns and also having to communicate with each other during the game and to be able to understand that only one person wins and that playing the game was the fun part and that winning isn’t everything. As the teacher I stretched the game and asked the children questions to extend their learning such as asking them questions and also having them explain to me what it means to move backwards or forwards and up or down before even playing the game. (Resource 2) I am able to use this game to represent learning in many different ways such as rolling the dice and having to count the numbers on the die, the children also learn how to use count the spaces to move after rolling the die. The children have to be able to know how to move their pieces up,down,foward and backwards. I could take the resources from this game and also what the children learned and use playing cards and the die to have the children use animals or people to roll the die and then have to move the animal up 3 spaces and

Coding Project Final Assignment 4 just have them move it up or I could use tape and make boxes on a table for the children to move the pieces around the table. (Resource 3) The game overall was a sucess and the children did learn and understood the concept of the game and the children had fun while playing the game and learning new math concepts from the game. The best of this game for me was that the children were able to play the game that I created and that they enjoyed it so much and also learned from this game that I created. Resources Resource 1-
